No one cares about your great aunt's life story, Karen. Just give me the damn recipe.
Wanna know what absolutely everyone hates? Scrolling down 6 times before getting to the recipe. Which is why we’re not gonna do that here. If you wanna see the recipe, go to the recipe page—if you wanna hear a story or anecdote, check out the blog. We love food, we love stories, and we love sharing both. But readin’ and eatin’ aren’t the same thing, and neither is story tellin’ and gettin’ down to business. We may throw in tips, alternative options, and the occasional “this is what it should look like right about now” photo, but we promise not to try to tell you about our Papa’s time spent peeling ‘taters during WWII right in the middle of a recipe. We realize everyone doesn’t always have the time to cook elaborate meals, and that a lot of us are working with limited kitchen appliances, not to mention “balling on a budget." However, we both believe that food tastes best when shared with others, when prepared with time and a bit of effort, and with respect and appreciation for the ingredients bestowed upon us by the fruits of earth and hard labor.
